Hamilton Pediatric & Adult Expiratory Valve Set with cover and membrane REF 161186 for C1 T1 T1 Military MR1 Ventilator machine
► Brief Introduction
The HAMILTON Neonatal Expiratory Valve Set with Cover and Membrane is a medical device used in neonatal ventilation to control the flow of gases during expiration. It includes a valve, cover, and membrane that work together to regulate the release of exhaled air from the patient's lungs. This device is essential for maintaining appropriate levels of carbon dioxide in the blood and ensuring efficient gas exchange in newborn babies who require respiratory support.
► How to use
Open the packaging of the HAMILTON Neonatal Expiratory Valve Set and remove the contents.
Insert the membrane into the cover by aligning the holes in the center of the membrane with the corresponding pegs on the cover. The membrane should be securely placed in the cover.
Connect the assembled cover and membrane to the expiratory valve on the neonatal breathing circuit. Ensure that it is securely attached to prevent any leaks during expiration.
Once the valve set is properly connected and in place, turn on the ventilator and set the appropriate settings for the neonatal patient.
Monitor the patient's breathing and adjust the ventilator settings as needed to provide the necessary support.
When the neonatal patient is no longer in need of ventilator support, disconnect the HAMILTON Neonatal Expiratory Valve Set and dispose of it according to the appropriate medical waste disposal guidelines.
Keep records of the usage of the valve set and replace it with a new one as needed to maintain proper and safe respiratory support for neonatal patients.
► To assemble/install the expiratory valve set
1. Remove the safety cover.
2. Ensure the membrane is properly aligned with the expiratory valve housing and the metal plate faces up (1).
3. Position the expiratory valve set in the expiratory port (2) and twist the locking ring clockwise until it locks into place (3).
