This product is suitable for ZOLL M series defibrillators. It is a MFC multi-functional therapy cable and has good compatibility. This multifunctional therapy cable consists of conductive wire, insulation, connectors and fixtures. The two ends are red sockets. In order to meet the requirements of high current release and low voltage loss, low impedance conductors should be used, which should also have strong corrosion resistance, good flexibility and sufficient fatigue resistance. Made of multiple strands of metal wire, it can be in the shape of a spiral coil around the central cavity and a cable shape with several strands twisted together obliquely. There is an insulating layer between the conductive wire and human tissue.
Polyurethane insulation material has high tensile strength, good flexibility, and low friction coefficient in blood. In the biocorrosive environment of the human body, lipids and proteins can deposit on damaged polyurethane, causing swelling and resulting surface structural damage known as environmental stress cracks. Environmental stress cracks are prone to occur when mechanical stress causes polyurethane molecules to align in parallel lines. The slightest but very common change is a white mist-like change, called a frosty surface, but the insulation function is not significantly reduced. The depth of cracks is usually 2.5~30μm, and is most obvious in areas where tension is exerted during manufacturing or placement. When the cracks caused by this structural damage involve the entire layer of the insulation layer and reach the conductive wire, the insulation function of the electrode wire can be lost. Pretreating the polyurethane by heating it in an inert gas increases the cross-linking between polyurethane molecules and reduces the risk of environmental stress cracks. Metal-induced oxidation can cause oxidative degradation of polyurethane insulation. Hydrogen peroxide in inflammatory cells on the surface of electrode leads produces oxygen, and body fluids enter the conductive wires along with large and small insulation cracks and accumulate, causing metal corrosion products—metal ion free radicals—to appear on the conductive wires, causing the polyurethane insulation layer to delaminate and degrade. Since fluoropolymers are impermeable to hydrogen peroxide, coating conductive wires with a fluoropolymer layer prevents metals from oxidizing. But when the thickness of the fluoropolymer layer exceeds 0.076mm, the material becomes stiff, limiting its application.
