Philip FRx Trainer AED Defibrillator - This is a trainer designed to prepare first responders for the FRx Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Has real-world training teaching configuration options, but cannot be used to deliver defibrillation therapy. This trainer can provide simulated electric shock delivery, but does not have high voltage, which can ensure the safety of training personnel.

The Philip FRx Trainer AED Defibrillator offers eight training scenarios that simulate real cardiac arrest situations. Typically used with HeartStart Training Pad II and training models. Can also be used with Training Pads II, Infant/Child Pad Placement Guide, and Infant/Child Key for pediatric defibrillation training. It is powered by four standard AA alkaline batteries and has very good performance.

A: Training Pads Connector Port: The Training Pads II connector plugs into this port

B: Infant/Child Key Slot: The Infant/Child Key can be purchased separately and inserts into this slot to simulate a defibrillation scenario for an infant or child up to 8 years old or 55 pounds.

C: Turn on the light: When the trainer is turned on, the green ON light of the FRx trainer is always on, otherwise it is off. (In FRx defibrillators, the green Ready light flashes when the defibrillator is in standby mode.)

D: On/Off button: To turn on the FRx Trainer, press this green button. To turn off the trainer, press and hold the button for one (1) second.

E: Information Button: In FRx Trainer, this blue "i button" flashes when scenario selection is available and when a patient care pause begins when CPR coaching is available.

F: Pad Icon: The electrode pad icon flashes as a guide for electrode pad placement during training scenarios. Once the electrode pads are placed, they close.

G: Warning light: This light flashes during heart rhythm analysis and stays on when a shock is recommended to remind anyone that the patient should not be touched.

H: Shock Button: This orange button flashes when the FRx Trainer recommends you deliver a shock; press the Shock button to deliver a simulated shock.

I: Infrared (IR) communication port. This feature is not activated in FRx Trainer. (In FRx defibrillators, this feature is used for data transfer.)

J: Speaker: When the device is in use, its voice commands come from this speaker.

K: Battery compartment door: Lift this door to install or replace the battery. The trainer is powered by four disposable AA alkaline batteries that plug into grooves on the back of the device. (FRx defibrillators are powered by custom battery packs.)

L: Configuration switches: These switches are located in the battery compartment and allow you to change certain trainer parameter settings. (FRx defibrillators do not have these switches.)
