Features
Vamos® is a highly effective anesthetic gas monitor for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients. For patient monitoring, the concentrations of carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and volatile anesthetic gases in the breathing gas mixture are monitored and displayed.
Carbon dioxide concentration is displayed as a real-time waveform. In addition, all gas concentration monitors display inspiratory and expiratory concentrations. The respiratory rate is determined by the CO2 waveform and then displayed
Vamos features the advanced Waterlock® 2 filter cup. Its hydrophobic filter membrane allows the gaseous components of the sampled gas to pass through while effectively protecting the Vamos and Vamos plus gas sensors from condensation, germs and other contaminants.
As long as the anesthesia machine is functioning accordingly, the sample gas can be recirculated back into the breathing system. This means low-flow anesthesia can be administered. Moisture in the breathing gas is recycled, which not only makes ventilation more comfortable for the patient, but also reduces the consumption of anesthesia.
The performance of the Waterlock 2 filter cup is optimized when used with Dräger's sampling tubes and corresponding venting accessories, ensuring accurate gas concentration monitoring and a good waveform display.
With the simple operation of a control knob and a few buttons, Vamos is very easy and intuitive to use. The control knob can be used to navigate menus and to set and confirm alarm thresholds. There are separate keys for activating standby mode and for momentary alarm silencing.
According to different priority levels, there are corresponding sound and light alarms and status information display. CO2 waveforms, monitored parameters, and alarm and status information are displayed in a clear layout on the high-resolution display.
The Vamos Anesthesia Gas Monitor is portable, lightweight and can be integrated safely and ergonomically into an anesthesia workstation. Even with the battery installed, Vamos and Vamos plus weigh only 2.1 kg. The anesthesia gas monitor can stand alone on a flat surface such as a shelf, or integrated into a workstation via an arm.
An optional mounting base plate is available to fix it on a standard arm or other fixed bracket. Dräger offers a wide range of suitable arms, rails, and various rotatable or tiltable fixing brackets
Vamos is optionally available with a built-in lithium battery. In this way, Vamos is able to continue to operate for at least one hour in the event of a power outage. Battery charging is a fully automatic process.
Parameters and waveforms are available via serial interface for display and automatic archiving. Such data can be accessed via the Dräger MEDIBUS protocol, e.g. for the creation of electronic anesthesia medical records.
Vamos anesthesia gas monitors are characterized by low maintenance costs and a long service life. The infrared sensor technology used in the Dräger monitor is wear-free as it does not have any moving parts such as filter wheels. Additionally, filter cup technology effectively protects the anesthesia gas monitor from solid or liquid contaminants. Because the Waterlock 2 filter bowl is easy to empty, you can use it for up to four weeks before changing it.
