►Brief Introduction

The main board is the control center of the equipment. It provides communication and display functions, including:

Communication with SpO2 board, and NIBP module through serial ports, starting parameter measurement, and reading measured results;

• Communication with Predictive/IR (Infrared Radiation) Temp module through serial ports;
• Communication with power management board through serial ports;
• Extending an RS232 serial port;
• Control over the Segment-code LCD display through I2C;
• Providing backlight drive for segment-code display;
• Recognition of keypad actions, and providing corresponding response;
• Control over the beeper through IO port; and,
• Providing 24 hour timing via the inner RTC.

► Removing the Main Board

1. Stand the monitor and separate the front housing assembly and rear housing assembly with caution. Disconnect the cable between the main board and power management board and then take off the front panel.

2. Disconnect the cable between the main board and keypad board. Unscrew the four M3×6 screws and take out the main board, as shown below:

► General Inspection

• Make sure that the environment and power supply meet the requirements.
• Inspect the equipment and its accessories for mechanical damage.
• Inspect all power cords for damage, and make sure that their insulation is in good condition.
• Make sure that only specified accessories are applied
• Make sure that the battery meets the performance requirements
• Make sure that the monitor is in good working condition.
