► Brief Introduction
The exhalation gas delivery component and the PC1786 exhalation channel cassette are integrated into one part-the exhalation cassette, which can be easily disassembled for cleaning or exchange. Please refer to the Servo-i Ventilator System-User Manual.
The exhalation box can be interchanged between different servo-i systems. After replacing the exhalation cassette, a pre-use inspection is always required.
The exhalation inlet of the exhalation tube of the patient's respiratory system is 22mm/10mm tube connector. The inlet is designed to let the condensate drip out and allow a trap to collect the water. A bacteria filter can be connected to the exhalation inlet to protect the cassette record from contamination.
The electric heating foil is applied to the outside of the expiratory tube where the ultrasonic flowmeter is located. The purpose of the heating foil is to reduce condensation in the exhaled breath and maintain a stable temperature.
An ultrasonic flowmeter is a device that measures the flow of expiratory gas, using ultrasonic technology and two ultrasonic transducers/receivers. The measurement process is controlled by the main block PC1784 exhalation channel.
The ultrasonic sound from the left transducer is reflected on the inner wall of the exhalation channel. The sound of the ultrasonic wave is received by the sensor on the right, which now acts as a receiver. The time from sending to receiving ultrasound in the downstream expiratory airflow was measured. Then, the right sensor (received in advance) emits ultrasonic sound upstream of the expiratory flow. The ultrasound is received by the left hand as a receiver. Measure the time from sending the upstream expiratory airflow to receiving the ultrasound. The time difference between the downstream and upstream time measurements provides flow information. The temperature sensor in the box measures the temperature of the exhaled air. This temperature measurement is also used to calculate expiratory flow.
► The exhalation cassette is a complete unit and cannot be disassembled. It contains the following parts:
The exhalation valve coil is installed under the exhalation box chamber and controls the valve membrane in the box.
The PC1786 in the exhalation box is electrically connected to the PC1784 exhalation channel through the PC1785 exhalation channel connector.
A technical error that occurred while exhaling the cassette or communicating with the cassette. If the technical alarm expires the flow meter test. "Cassette power failure" and error code "Technical error in exhalation cassette"
