Battery maintenance: In order to accurately balance the battery capacity, periodic battery maintenance is required. The battery maintenance frequency can be set in the service tool. The battery maintenance mode detects possible capacity loss (for example, due to aging of the battery pack) and will then recalculate the capacity/run time. If there is no battery maintenance after a long storage time or a long operation, it may happen that the battery warning time can no longer be maintained. In this case, battery maintenance is necessary. To start the discharging process, the "Battery Maintenance" message and the key will be displayed after the pump is turned off. Press kandu and the discharge process will start. Interrupt the process by turning on the pump again. If you want to continue battery maintenance, you need to reactivate it. After the battery is fully discharged, it will be fully charged again. The total duration of the battery maintenance process is approximately required. Twelve hours.
Note: Please note that if battery maintenance is not completed, the battery runtime may be shortened. Battery replacement: The battery pack SP can be replaced by any user. No special qualifications are required. All rechargeable batteries will decrease in capacity as they age. This aging depends on several factors, including charging cycles, temperature, and battery usage. It is recommended to check the function of the battery regularly. If replacing the disposable battery causes the "battery almost exhausted" or "battery exhausted" alarm to sound when fully charged, the battery should not be used.
Note: If the battery is opened or incinerated, it may explode or leak. Consider the processing direction!

The service life of a new battery at 100 ml/h is 4 hours. In order to optimally dispose of the battery, the device is equipped with protection against overcharging and deep depletion. The battery pack is charged by the pump when it is connected to the power source. When disconnected from the main power supply or power failure, the pump will automatically switch to battery power supply.
Note: Before storing the pump for a long time (> 5 months), the battery pack must be fully charged and then removed from the pump. Before replacing the battery, be sure to disconnect the pump from the patient and turn off the device. The battery status indicator is a trend display (low, medium, high). For more detailed information on the current battery capacity (working time in hours and minutes), please refer to the menu item "Batt. Cap." in the status menu of the Infusomat® Space.
Caution: The battery operating time displayed on the pump is an approximation based on the current delivery rate. Changes in the delivery rate may affect the operating time of the battery. The one-time replacement program requires high power consumption. An aging battery may suddenly interrupt the battery's working time. In this case, the battery must be replaced with a new one. If you want to take powerful drugs for a long time without the main power supply, it is recommended to have a fully charged backup pump on hand. Note: In the case of ESD, Pump may need to be plugged into a wall outlet to restart the battery. Note: If the battery module is stored outside the pump for a long time, it is recommended to fully charge the battery and store it at room temperature.
Note: If the battery is opened or incinerated, it may explode or leak. Consider the processing direction! Important information for battery self-test: If the battery symbol flashes during mains operation, the remaining battery power is less than 30 minutes. In this case, the pump should not be disconnected from the power supply. If the pump needs to be disconnected from the main power supply for emergency reasons, the user should check to ensure that the battery capacity is sufficient for the recommended use. When the battery symbol flashes permanently (>1h), the battery must be checked by a technician and replaced under the following conditions
Optimal battery usage instructions: Actual battery life may vary due to the following reasons
• Ambient temperature
• Changing load (for example, frequent boluses).
The best service life of the battery pack can only be achieved when it is completely discharged from time to time. Built-in maintenance mode for this battery maintenance. This feature should be activated once a month. also:
• If you charge an incompletely discharged battery several times, its capacity may decrease.
• Under normal temperature conditions, the battery can be charged and discharged for approximately 2 hours. After 500 times, its life will be shortened.
• When the pump is not connected to mains power, the battery will discharge slowly. This can happen even when the pump is not running.
• Battery runtime can only be achieved when the pump is running
A fully charged battery can be used continuously at room temperature.
