► Brief Introduction
The AC/DC converter converts the AC power from the power plug to 14 V/80W DC power and isolates the monitoring system from the AC power.
The 14V is distributed through the power bus and supplies power to all components of the system: the 48V DC power required for MMS and measurement server expansion is generated by isolated DC/DC converters. The power required by backlight is converted to 12V DC by backlight DC/DC converter. The CPU and non-isolated I/O board are powered by 3.3V and 5 V DC power supplies. The isolation interface board requires 10V AC power. The remote HIF board and LED are powered by 12V dc power.
The 4-slot rack uses an 8-14V DC bus to create a 60 V (DC/DC converter) power supply for the module. In addition, 3V and 5V are required to operate the 4-slot rack boards and front end modules.
► Power Supply Architecture:
► Removing the Power Supply Assembly
NOTE
When the power supply is replaced, the display must reload the serial number. Support tools are required to perform this task.
1 | Separate the front and back parts of the monitor. |
2 | Remove the mainboard and internal module rack (if present). |
3 | Remove the MSL board |
4 | Remove the five screws and pull up the power supply. It can be difficult to pull up the power supply due to the bonding foil between the rear chassis and the power supply. |
► Reassembling the Power Supply Assembly
1 Clean the power supply assembly in the area shown below and remove any residue from the old thermal foil.
2 Remove the protective layer from the new thermal foil, place the thermal foil on the dome, and press it with your thumb against the power supply assembly.
CAUTION
3 Insert the power supply into the rear housing of the monitor, as shown below. Make sure the power card is inserted into the dome and correctly aligned with the screw hole.
4 Fasten the five screws in the sequence specified below.
CAUTION
