Original New GE 1006-3623-000 Pressure Switch for Datex-Ohmeda Anesthesia Machine
Introduction
The GE 1011-8000-000 is an original, new electronic gas mixer assembly for GE Datex-Ohmeda. It functions as the central pneumatic hub of the anesthesia machine, responsible for receiving gas inputs from both the hospital pipeline and cylinder supplies, precisely mixing them, and delivering the blended gas to the vaporizer manifold.
This board connects directly to the anesthesia control board to receive power and communication signals, enabling the electronic monitoring and regulation of gas flow. This electronic architecture replaces traditional mechanical flowmeters, offering higher precision and operational safety.

Mixed Gas
Think of the anesthesia machine as a smart gas delivery system. The mixed gas leaves the flowmeter and travels through a manifold. If a vaporizer is turned on, the gas picks up vapor as it passes through. Then it reaches a switch called the ACGO selector. This switch acts like a traffic director: it sends the gas either to the patient's breathing circuit or to an external outlet called ACGO. Along the way, a pressure relief valve keeps the pressure from getting too high . This ensures the gas goes exactly where it's needed, safely and reliably.
Functions
1. By using a flow sensor assembly and electronic control board, the mixer delivers gas with a high degree of accuracy (±20 ml/min or 5% of setting). This precision helps the clinician maintain the exact inspired concentration required for the patient.
2. With a 500 millisecond response time, the mixer allows for quick adjustments to gas flow and concentration. This is particularly valuable during critical moments when the depth of anesthesia needs to be changed rapidly.
3. The system continuously monitors gas supply pressure and flow. This integrated monitoring provides a higher level of process safety, alerting the clinician to any supply anomalies or failures before they affect the patient.
4. The electronic gas mixer includes pneumatic backup control. In the event of a mixer failure, the system can provide an alternate source of fresh gas flow (Alternate O₂) to maintain patient ventilation.
