Q1: The outer casing of the filter cartridge isn't blackened; does it still need to be replaced periodically?

A1: Yes, it needs to be replaced periodically. Moisture and oil mist will adhere to the internal filter layer, invisible to the naked eye. Once saturated, they will gradually release contaminants, polluting the inside of the ventilator.

Q2: Can the old filter cartridge be reused after being removed and cleaned with air?

A2: Reuse is prohibited. Oil mist and moisture are adsorbed deep within the filter media and cannot be cleaned. Reverse air blowing will also damage the filter media fibers, causing them to lose their filtering capacity.

Q3: After replacing this filter, do I also need to replace the 8415127 micro filter cartridge?

A3: It is recommended to replace them simultaneously. They are upstream and downstream two-stage filters; when the main filter is contaminated, the pre-filter cartridge is likely also saturated.

Q4: How often should the 8421479 filter assembly be replaced on a neonatal ventilator?
