Product Introduction

The CONTEC R100BP is a positive airway pressure (PAP) device – a portable respiratory therapy machine designed for non-invasive ventilation. It is indicated for patients weighing more than 30 kg who have respiratory insufficiency or obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).

The device delivers pressurised air through a mask to keep the patient's airway open during sleep, relieving snoring, hypopnea, and sleep apnoea episodes. It's suitable for use at home, in clinics, and in hospitals. The R100BP features a compact, lightweight design that makes it easy to carry, and the user interface is straightforward .

• Offers three therapy modes for different clinical needs. The R100BP supports CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure), BILEVEL (Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure), and IBPAP (Inspiratory Positive Airway Pressure) modes. CPAP delivers a constant pressure throughout the breathing cycle – the standard treatment for OSA. BILEVEL provides two pressure levels: a higher pressure during inspiration and a lower pressure during expiration, which can be more comfortable for some patients. IBPAP focuses on supporting the inspiratory phase.

• Automatically adjusts to the patient's breathing. The device features an auto‑switch function that automatically triggers and switches between inspiratory and expiratory pressure based on the patient's breathing status. It also has smart start – it recognises when the mask is being worn and can automatically start or stop therapy without the patient having to press buttons.

Starting therapy

1. Put on the mask and adjust the headgear for a comfortable but secure fit.

2. The device can be started manually via the control panel, or it will start automatically when it detects that the mask is being worn (smart start function).

3. The large screen will display real‑time therapy parameters.

Adjusting settings:

1. Use the control panel to select the therapy mode (CPAP, BILEVEL, or IBPAP).

2. Set the prescribed pressure (4 – 20 cmH₂O for CPAP; 4 – 25 cmH₂O for BILEVEL/IBPAP).

3. Adjust comfort settings as needed: ramp time (0 – 45 minutes), humidity level (6 levels), rise time, and trigger sensitivity.
