►Module Installation Steps

1.Ensure the patient monitor main unit is powered off and unplugged from the power source.

Locate the dedicated module expansion slot on the back or side of the monitor.

2.Align the metal connector of the TS-IBP module with the slot rails; apply even pressure to slide the module fully in until a "click" sound indicates it is locked in place.

Tighten the thumbscrews on both sides of the module to ensure a secure fit and proper grounding with the main unit.

3.Connect one end of the dedicated IBP cable to the port on the front of the module and the other end to the disposable pressure transducer.

Connect the pressure transducer to a pressurized bag containing heparinized saline (typically 2 U/mL) and ensure the three-way stopcock is set to the closed position or the correct pressure-monitoring pathway.

Open the three-way stopcock and use the flush device to purge all air bubbles from the transducer and tubing (air bubbles can severely compromise waveform accuracy).

4.Power on the monitor main unit, access the main menu, and select "Module Management" or "System Setup." Check the list of recognized modules to verify that "TS-IBP" or "IBP" appears with an "Online" status.
