Product Introduction

The power module iron frame assembly is the metal chassis that houses and secures the power supply unit inside the Mindray BeneView T5 patient monitor. It's the structural backbone that holds the power management and charging board, the step down DC-DC converter board, and the buck-boost converter board in place.

The iron frame holds the power supply board and its associated components securely in place inside the monitor chassis. Without this frame, the power supply boards would have no stable mounting point ,they'd be loose inside the device, vulnerable to damage from vibration, shock, and the general wear and tear of daily clinical use.

Advantages

1. Protects the power supply from physical damage. By housing the power boards within a rigid metal frame, the assembly shields them from impacts, drops, and the stresses of being moved around on carts between departments.

2. It also helps prevent the boards from flexing or bending when cables are plugged and unplugged.

3. Ensures proper alignment for connections. The frame holds the power supply at the correct position relative to the monitor's back panel..

4. The AC inlet, DC outputs, and internal cabling align properly. Misalignment can lead to stressed connectors, intermittent connections, or boards that don't seat correctly.

Removal procedure 

• Remove the monitor's rear cover to access the internal components.
• Locate the power module assembly at the back of the monitor.
• Disconnect all cables connected to the power supply board , the AC input filter cable, the DC output cables to the mainboard and other components, and any ribbon cables.
• Remove the four M3×12 screws securing the power module assembly to the monitor chassis.
• Gently slide the power module assembly out of the monitor.
• If you need to access the power boards individually, remove the three M3×12 screws securing the power cover, then use a small flat-head screwdriver to lift the power board out.

Safety

1. Handle the power supply with care. The power module contains capacitors that can retain a dangerous charge even after the monitor has been disconnected from the mains. Allow sufficient time for the capacitors to discharge before handling the boards, and follow all safety procedures in the service manual.

2. Keep the power module clean. Dust and debris can accumulate inside the power module over time, particularly around the ventilation areas. Clean the frame and boards carefully with compressed air or a soft brush – never use liquid cleaners on the power boards themselves.

3. Test thoroughly after any service work. After reassembly, verify that the monitor starts up properly, that all parameters are being measured correctly, and that the battery charges as expected. The monitor should operate correctly from AC power and switch seamlessly to battery power when the AC cord is removed.
