Q1: What are the potential hazards of using the device without the cover?

A1: Without insulation protection, the high voltage of the defibrillator can easily short-circuit with the metal casing, burning out the entire device. Additionally, the circuit board lacks fixed supports, making the wiring prone to detachment during bumps, potentially causing monitoring and defibrillation functions to fail.

Q2: The cover has become yellowed and fogged up after long-term disinfection. Does it need to be replaced?

A2: Yellowing alone does not affect insulation protection, but the plastic will age and become brittle, breaking easily even with minor impacts. It is recommended to replace it in advance to avoid breakage and loss of protection during use.

Q3: The bottom snap of the cover is broken. Can it be used after being glued back together?

A3: It is not recommended. The snap is the main load-bearing structure. Vibrations during emergency transport can cause the glue layer to crack, and a loose circuit board can lead to interruption of ECG signals and AED malfunction, posing a safety hazard in emergency situations. A completely new cover must be replaced.
