Product Introduction

The front housing assembly is the structural backbone of the BeneHeart D3 defibrillator. It's the large molded panel that holds the display, the mode select knob, the encoder, the alarm lamp board, the speaker, and the keypad board. Everything the operator sees and touches on the front of the device is either mounted to or housed within this frame.

The frame isn't just a cosmetic cover. It's an engineered structural component that provides mounting points for the LCD display, the therapy and monitor mode select knobs, the main control board, and the recorder. It also incorporates waterproofing features.

(1) Mode Select knob : Rotate this knob to select the operating mode or turn the equipment off.

(2) Energy Select button : In the Manual Defib mode, press this button to select the energy level.

(3) Charge button :  Press this button to charge the defibrillator.

(4) Shock button : Press this button to deliver a shock to the patient.

Disassembling the Front Housing Assembly

1. Remove the rear housing assembly to access the internal components.

2. Disconnect all cables connecting the front housing components to the main board

3. Remove the LCD display from the front housing. Take it out from the silica gel wrap first, then carefully lift it out.

4. Remove the LCD bracket to access the alarm lamp board and assistant keypad board beneath it.

5. Remove the screws securing individual components: the alarm lamp board uses two M3×8  screws; the speaker bracket uses two M3×8 6. screws, the recorder uses two M3×6 screws.

7. For the mode select knob, pull the switch off its shaft, then loosen and remove the nut and washer using a socket wrench or sharp nose pliers.

8. For the encoder, remove the navigation knob first, disconnect the encoder cable, then pull the encoder off its shaft and remove the nut and washer.

9. Once all components are removed, the front housing itself can be detached from the main unit.

Checking Waterproof Material on the Front Housing

• Before reassembling the equipment, make sure that the waterproof material on the front housing are placed to the proper places.

• Check that the white waterproof strip is properly adhered to the slot around the edge of the front housing
