Comen STAR8000C Patient Monitor Three-prong Power Interface Assembly Includes Two Fuses and A VGA Interface

Product Introduction

This all in one rear interface assembly is purpose-built as an original rear connection component for Comen STAR8000C multi-parameter patient monitors. A solid metal mounting base holds three core functional parts together: a standard three-prong mains power inlet, two independent safety fuses, and a dedicated VGA signal port. It is fitted to the rear casing of the monitor to manage external power intake and extended video signal output for clinical auxiliary displays.

Constant plugging and unplugging, long-duration ward operation and unexpected power surges commonly damage the factory-fitted original assembly. Blown fuses will cut off the monitor’s power supply entirely, while loose or corroded VGA terminals lead to flickering, distorted or missing images on external screens. Both faults interrupt uninterrupted patient vital sign tracking in wards and ICUs. Every structural dimension, internal wiring path and circuit pin layout of this replacement unit matches the original factory specifications exactly.

Main Functions

1. Alternating current from wall power outlets is fed into the monitor’s internal power board through the 3-prong power socket. Two built in independent fuses act as safety triggers; power flow will be instantly disconnected once overcurrent or short-circuit risks arise to stop irreversible burnout of expensive internal circuit modules.

2.Complete waveform, numerical vital sign and system menu data are transmitted via the integrated VGA port to secondary large medical screens. Multiple clinical staff can simultaneously view patient

3.All external input and output connectors are fixed onto one unified metal bracket. Internal wiring clutter is minimized, and reliable positioning of every port is maintained even with frequent equipment shifting and repeated plugging cycles.

Reassembly and testing

  • Carefully close the rear housing cover, ensuring that no internal cables are pinched between the two halves.
  • Tighten all cover screws.
  • Reinstall the internal battery (if removed).
  • Reconnect the AC power cord.
  • Turn on the monitor. Verify that the power LED illuminates, the display boots up, and the monitor completes its power‑on self‑test without error.
  • Connect a known‑good external VGA monitor (if available) and verify that the STAR8000C‘s display is mirrored correctly.
  • Perform a full functional test of all parameters (ECG, SpO₂, NIBP, temperature) to confirm that the power interface is not affecting any monitoring functions.

Notice

1. Replace fuses only with the identical type and rating.

2. Do not bypass or defeat the fuses.

3. Check for the root cause of a blown fuse before simply replacing it.
4. Use only genuine Comen replacement assemblies (or approved equivalents).
5. Do not disassemble the VGA port or the AC inlet. The assembly is a sealed, safety certified component.
6. Keep the assembly clean and dry.
