Description

The Nihon Kohden SB-831V is a smart lithium battery pack for patient monitors, primarily used as a mobile power source during intra-hospital transport. When a patient needs to be moved from the bedside to the examination room, this battery ensures uninterrupted monitoring data and is compatible with the Life Scope series of bedside monitors.

Compared to nickel-metal hydride batteries, lithium-ion batteries have higher energy density, are lighter, and have no memory effect. They support hot-swapping and independent charging, allowing for battery replacement without shutting down the monitor while it is on, without interrupting monitoring. They can also be quickly charged using a dedicated independent charger, instead of being installed in the main unit and charged by the main unit's power supply.

The battery has a built-in smart chip, and the main screen can accurately display the remaining power and estimated usage time in real time in the form of icons or percentages. There will be a warning before the power is exhausted, and there will be no sudden power outage. In addition to the software protection of the battery management chip, there is also an independent hardware circuit that can serve as a last resort in case the chip fails, safe to use.
