Description

This three-prong power connector is an original, disassembled part from the Nihon Kohden BSM-4113K monitor. Located at the bottom of the back of the main unit, it is an integrated three-prong connector with a grounding stake, ensuring stable operation of the device while protecting patient safety.

The interface consists of three flat metal prongs (live, neutral, and ground). Since the monitor comes into direct contact with the patient, leakage current is extremely limited. The third prong of the three-pronged interface is the grounding terminal. It conducts the weak leakage current generated by the device's casing and internal circuitry to the ground, preventing current from passing through the patient's body and avoiding the risk of micro-electric. Simultaneously, good grounding shields against external electromagnetic interference, ensuring accurate acquisition of weak physiological signals such as ECG and EEG, and preventing waveform noise.

The power cord plug features a special snap-on or groove design that fits tightly into the socket, effectively preventing the power cord from being accidentally kicked off or pulled off during clinical procedures, moving beds, or transporting patients, thus ensuring continuous power supply.
