Description

The power supply board of the Nihon Kohden BSM-4113K patient monitor is not only a power supply unit but also a core barrier for the overall electrical safety isolation and anti-interference. It is primarily responsible for energy conversion and distribution, ensuring the normal operation of the main unit and various monitoring modules. The power board converts external AC power into various DC voltages required by the monitor's internal components, powering not only the motherboard and display but also providing precise power delivery to different monitoring modules such as ECG, blood oxygen, and blood pressure.

The power supply board also manages the battery charging process (preventing overcharging) and seamlessly switches to battery power mode within milliseconds when the external power supply is disconnected, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring data. Simultaneously, through optocoupler isolation and other technologies, it completely isolates the high-voltage side (mains input) from the low-voltage side (the part in contact with the patient), strictly limiting leakage current and preventing the risk of micro-electric to the patient.

Installation Instructions:

1. Disconnect the monitor's power supply, remove the batteries, and wear an anti-static wrist strap throughout the process.

2. Unscrew the screws on the outer casing and carefully pry it open.

3. The power board is located near the monitor's power interface. Locate the power board and take a photo to document the original wiring locations.

4. Unscrew the screws on the power board and disconnect all connecting wires.

5. Place the new power board in its original position, tighten the screws, and reconnect all connecting wires.

6. Perform a power-on test, ensuring safety. After the test, close the outer casing, tighten the screws, and the installation is complete.
