Defibrillator AED Defibtech LLC Battery Pack for Defibtec DDU-1OO-TRH Services REF DBP-1400 DBP-2800

Battery pack Introduction

This battery pack serves as a replaceable main power source for the DDU-100 series AED (including DDU-100-TRH). It adopts a non-rechargeable lithium battery design, featuring long standby life and low maintenance requirements. Multiple configuration versions are available, each optimized for specific application scenarios, and each battery pack is marked with an expiration date.

Battery Compartment and Eject Button Function: A battery compartment (battery opening) is located on the side of the device for inserting the battery pack. The battery eject button is used to unlock the battery; pressing it will partially eject the battery pack for easy removal.

Installing and Removing the Battery Pack

1.Battery Installation Steps: When installing, orient the battery pack with the label facing up. First, ensure the battery compartment is clean and free of foreign objects, then slide the battery pack firmly into the compartment until a click is heard (indicating the latch is locked). If the pack cannot be fully inserted, it is most likely upside down. Once fully inserted, the surface of the battery pack should be flush with the side of the AED.

2.Battery Removal Steps: To remove the battery pack, press the battery eject button on the side of the AED. After the battery pack is partially ejected, pull it out gently by hand without the need for tools.

Safety Precautions for Use

During emergency situations, you can use the battery pack without a 9V battery; however, a 9V battery should be installed when the device is in normal operation. You must not install the battery pack once it has passed the expiration date displayed on its label, and it is important to note that the battery pack cannot be recharged.

On the label side of the battery pack, there is a green Active Status Indicator that blinks at regular intervals to show that the battery pack is ready for use. If this status indicator fails to blink, it means either the 9V status battery has run out of power or the battery pack is no longer suitable for use. If the indicator still does not blink after you have installed a new 9V battery, the battery pack should be taken out of service and no longer used.

When the battery pack is inserted into the AED, a beeping sound will alert you that the 9V battery’s power is low and that it needs to be replaced.

① Strictly follow the instructions on the battery pack label and do not install expired batteries

② This lithium battery is non-rechargeable—any attempt to recharge it may cause fire or explosion

③ Do not immerse the battery pack in water or other liquids, as immersion may lead to fire or explosion

④ Recycle or dispose of the battery pack in accordance with local, state, provincial, and/or national regulations. Do not burn or incinerate the battery to avoid fire and explosion hazards.
