BLT Biolight M66 Patient Monitor Battery Interface Board
This is the original battery interface board for the BLT M66 patient monitor. The board is a small circuit board with two springs and eight solder points on the front. Its main purpose is to secure the battery to the electrical connection, ensuring the battery remains in place and provides continuous power during certain periods, guaranteeing continuous operation and monitoring.
The included cable is a two-core power cable with a red and black design. This cable serves as the power interface and management core between the M66 monitor's battery and the motherboard.
The battery interface board has four pre-drilled screw holes for securing it inside the device, preventing vibration-induced poor contact. It also provides power polarity protection and short-circuit protection, safeguarding the motherboard and battery.
1. Battery Power Adapter: As an intermediate interface between the battery and motherboard, it stably transmits DC power from the battery to the motherboard, powering the entire device. It also supports switching between external power and battery charging/discharging.
2. Circuit Protection Function: The battery interface board incorporates basic protection circuitry to prevent damage to the motherboard, battery, or other critical modules from reverse connection, overcurrent, and short circuits, thus enhancing equipment operational safety.
3. Stable Electrical Connection: The battery interface board features multiple terminals and a spring design on the front, ensuring a stable power connection even during equipment handling and vibration, preventing sudden shutdowns or data loss due to poor contact.
4. Charging Path Management: In conjunction with the equipment's power management system, it enables switching between battery charging and discharging paths, supporting simultaneous monitoring and charging to meet the needs of continuous clinical use.

A1: If the cable connection is normal and the battery has sufficient charge, this issue is likely due to a faulty battery interface board. We recommend replacing the battery interface board.
Q2: My battery won't charge. Is this related to the interface board?
A2: Yes. If the charging terminals are oxidized, the cable is damaged, or the protection circuit is faulty, the charging current may not flow properly into the battery, resulting in no charging or extremely slow charging.
Q3: The adhesive seal on the interface board is damaged. Can I still use it?
A3: If only the adhesive seal is damaged and the cable and solder joints are intact, you can re-wrap it with insulating tape or heat shrink tubing and continue using it. If the cable is exposed or the solder joints are loose, they must be re-soldered and sealed to prevent short circuits or wire breaks.
