Checking after Turning on the System

Once the ultrasonic diagnostic system is powered on, complete the following checks:

1. During operation, the acoustic lens of the transducer must not produce abnormal heat. Check the temperature of the transducer by hand to confirm it is within the normal range.

2. No abnormal images should appear when the system is starting up.

Cleaning

For cleaning operations, refer to the instructions in the product manual and follow the cleaning policies and procedures of your hospital.

1. Disconnect the probe from the system.

2. Put on sterile gloves to prevent infection.

3. Clean the transducer with clean water or soapy water to remove all foreign matter, or gently wipe it with a soft urethane sponge. Do not use a brush, as it may damage the transducer surface.

4. After rinsing, dry the transducer with a sterile cloth or gauze. Do not dry the transducer using any heating method.
