21.53.114408-1.0 Edan F Series Fetal Monitor Printer Cover Switch Plate Assembly
This is the 21.53.114408-1.0 printer cover switch assembly specifically designed for Mindray's F-series monitors.
This is a microswitch sensor used to detect whether the thermal printer cover is closed.
How it works:
When you close the printer cover, a small protrusion inside the cover presses down the black switch on this circuit board.
Signal transmission:
This action sends a "cover closed" signal to the host computer. If this switch is faulty, the machine will mistakenly interpret the cover as open, thus stopping printing to protect the thermal paper and printhead.

This switch board is likely at fault when the monitor exhibits the following issues:
1. "Cover Open" false alerts: The screen displays "Printer Cover Open" even when the cover is securely closed, preventing printing.
2. Unexpected print interruptions: Printing stops abruptly mid-task, and the error persists after a restart, often due to oxidized switch contacts or spring failure.
3. Physical damage: The switch button is deformed from prolonged pressing, failing to trigger the signal properly.
This component is the "status sensing center" of the Edan F-series monitor printing system. It uses a physically triggered microswitch to provide real-time feedback to the host computer on the printer lid's closing status.
When the printer lid is closed, the switch is pressed, activating the circuit and sending a "Printer lid in position" signal to the host computer, allowing the printing job to continue.
If the printer lid is open, the switch pops out, printing immediately pauses, and a "Printer lid open" alarm is displayed to prevent paper misalignment or damage during printhead operation.
The black and white twisted-pair shielded cable design effectively suppresses interference and ensures stable signal transmission, making it a key component for safe and reliable printing operation.
