Brief Introduction

 

The Biocare IM12 connector wiring, specifically designed for signal transmission between the pulse oximetry parameter panel and the device's mainboard and pulse oximetry module. It is a crucial connection component ensuring the normal operation of pulse oximetry monitoring. The entire cable uses insulated wires, and the outer shell is made of medical-grade wear-resistant PVC material in a yellow color, making it resistant to stains and easy to clean. Both ends of the cable are equipped with custom-made plastic plugs with neatly arranged pins and clearly marked mating indicators. The interfaces are reinforced to effectively prevent breakage from pulling.

Main Functions

 

• Signal Transmission: Responsible for stably transmitting raw signals such as patient oxygen saturation (SpO₂) and pulse rate received from the pulse oximetry parameter panel to the monitor's mainboard, while simultaneously feeding back control commands from the mainboard to the panel, achieving two-way signal interaction.

 

• Stable Signal Transmission: An internal metal shielding layer effectively resists electromagnetic interference. High-conductivity copper core wires ensure low signal transmission loss, rapid response, and accurate and reliable monitoring data.

 

• High Durability: The outer sheath is made of medical-grade wear-resistant and anti-aging PVC material, capable of withstanding frequent equipment movement and wiring adjustments in clinical settings without easily breaking. Heat-shrink tubing reinforcement at the plug and wire connection prevents breakage due to pulling, extending service life.

 

• Safe and Reliable: Excellent wire insulation performance meets medical electrical equipment safety standards, eliminating the risk of leakage.

SpO2 Monitoring Steps

 

1. Choose a suitable oximeter sensor based on the module type, as well as the animal’s species and weight.

2. Attach the blood oxygen sensor probes to the animal’s body.

3. Select an oximeter extension cord that matches the SpO2 interface type of the module, then connect this extension cord to the monitor’s SpO2 interface.

4. Connect the blood oxygen sensor to the extension cord.

 

Notice

 

1. When plugging or unplugging the connector, always gently squeeze the connector body and apply force steadily. Never pull directly on the outer sheath of the wire to avoid deforming or bending the connector pins, or breaking the connection between the wire and the connector.

 

2.Spare connectors should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated environment free of corrosive gases, at a temperature (<40℃) and humidity (<80%RH).
