Description

This cable in the Biocare IM12 monitor connects the mainboard and the parameter board, establishing a bidirectional communication channel between them:

- Transmitting Monitoring Data: The parameter board collects and processes raw analog signals from sensors such as ECG, blood pressure, and blood oxygen saturation, converting them into digital signals. The cable transmits this processed vital sign data to the mainboard.

- Transmitting Control Commands: The mainboard runs the monitor's operating system and software. When you touch the screen to perform operations such as "Start Measurement," "Freeze Waveform," or "Set Alarm Limits," the mainboard sends control commands to the parameter board via this cable, instructing it to activate the corresponding monitoring modules.

If this connection cable becomes loose, oxidized, or broken, the monitor will typically experience serious system malfunctions, such as:

- Multiple parameter errors: The screen displays "ECG communication error," "NBP communication error," or "blood oxygen communication error" because the motherboard cannot receive data from the parameter board.

- Self-test failure: The monitor freezes or displays an error during the power-on self-test, preventing access to the monitoring interface.

Easy to install: Simply unscrew the fixing screws, open the monitor's casing, locate the connection cable between the main board and the parameter board, unplug it, and replace it with a new one. Note: All operations must be performed with the device completely powered off, and an anti-static wrist strap or gloves must be worn at all times.
