When the high-voltage board malfunctions, the Passport2 monitor will exhibit the following typical symptoms:

1. Screen not lit, but monitor working normally:

• You can hear the monitor starting up normally (e.g., buzzer, fan running).
• The button backlight may be on.
• Shining a flashlight at a certain angle on the screen sometimes reveals a very dim image (this indicates the LCD screen and motherboard are good, just lacking backlight).

2. Screen flickering or intermittent blackout:

• The screen flickers on and off, and the symptoms may change when the device is tapped or moved. This could be due to poor soldering of components on the high-voltage board or poor contact of the high-voltage wires.

3. Uneven screen brightness or yellowing:

• If one side of the backlight is not working or is aging, it will cause one side of the screen to be brighter than the other, or the overall brightness to decrease and the color to turn yellow.

4. Burning smell or visible arcing:

• This is direct evidence that components on the high-voltage board (such as the high-voltage transformer, capacitors, and power transistors) have been damaged.

• Important Warning: The high-voltage board carries a deadly high voltage during operation! Non-professional repair personnel are strictly prohibited from disassembling or inspecting it!
• Do not replace individually: Due to its high integration, repairs typically require replacing the entire display module assembly.
• Professional Repair: If a high-voltage board fault is diagnosed, repairs must be performed by a professional engineer.
