The high-voltage board of the monitor is also called the inverter board or backlight driver board. Its core function is to provide a backlight source for the LCD screen of the monitor. The Mindray IPM-9800 monitor features a high-resolution LED display with a large 12.1-inch screen that can be configured with up to 8 waveforms, allowing you to view your patient data to the greatest extent possible.

LCDs themselves don't emit light. Like a piece of transparent glass, they control the passage of light by adjusting the arrangement of liquid crystal molecules, thereby displaying images. To clearly see waveforms, numbers, and parameters on the screen, an LCD must be illuminated from behind. This light source is a CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent lamp) or LED (light-emitting diode) light strip. While LED driver boards don't need to generate high voltages, they do need to provide stable, constant-current DC power to drive the LED strips. Therefore, the high-voltage board provides backlighting for the monitor's display, enabling better, faster, and clearer presentation of patient data.
