Product Description

Mindray DECG-03A uses a thermal print head, which produces images on special thermal paper by heating the dot matrix without the need for ink or ribbon, but the print head itself and thermal paper are consumables.

Replacement Instructions

Preparation: Make sure you have the correct replacement printhead, anhydrous alcohol, cotton swabs, and an anti-static wrist strap.
Power Off: Be sure to completely turn off the electrocardiograph and unplug all power cords.
Access the Printhead: Open the device cover. This typically requires releasing one or two latches or screws to lift the printhead assembly.
Disconnect: Very carefully disconnect the printhead's flexible cable. Do not pull on the cable; grasp the connector at both ends and pull firmly.
Remove the Old Printhead: Remove the old printhead by removing the screws on each side.
Install the New Printhead: Align the new printhead and tighten the screws (be careful not to overtighten).
Reconnect: Reinsert the cable into its socket, ensuring it is fully seated.
Cleaning and Testing: Before closing the cover and tightening the screws, clean the surface of the new print head with an alcohol swab (to remove any manufacturing residue). Then install the thermal paper and close the print head pressure lever. Power on the device and print a self-test (usually found in the device menu) to test the results.
