The 50 ohm test load of Mindray monitor electrode cable is usually used to detect the signal transmission performance of ECG cables and lead wires. ECG signal transmission needs to match the characteristic impedance of the cable (usually 50 ohms) to reduce signal reflection and interference. The role of the cable is to simulate the real human body impedance (about 50-100 ohms), test the signal stability, noise level and anti-interference ability of the ECG lead wire under load, and ensure that the cable and electrode can still maintain performance after long-term use.

• Disconnect power: Make sure the monitor and cable are powered off.
• Connect the load: Connect a 50 ohm resistor across the positive and negative terminals of the ECG lead wire.
• Turn on the monitor and select ECG mode. Observe whether the waveform is stable and check for baseline drift, noise or signal loss.
• Use a signal generator to input a standard amplitude (such as a 1mV/25Hz sine wave) to confirm whether the waveform amplitude and frequency displayed by the monitor are normal.
• Check whether the lead-off alarm function is triggered normally.
