The thermal print head temperature monitor measures the temperature of the heating head located on the print head. If the thermal print head temperature is too high, the signal REC_OVHEAT is activated and the signal STROBE is disabled to prevent the print head from heating up.

As the print head temperature increases, the heating time is reduced, thus maintaining normal font over the entire temperature range.

When the print head temperature drops below 50°C, the signal REC_OVHEAT_ is disabled and the heating is re-enabled by the signal STROBE.
