Intended use MX40
The MX40 is primarily used as a traditional telehealth device. Connects Wirelessly to the IntelliVue Information Center When the MX40 is connected to the IntelliVue Information Center, the IntelliVue Information Center provides initial patient monitoring and alerting functions. When connected to the message center, the MX40 does not automatically perform local checks or notifications.
The MX40 can provide time-limited local monitoring when not connected to a wireless network. Unlike traditional AC night monitors, the MX40 is battery powered and cannot provide continuous monitoring.
Patient Population
This device is not intended for use on infants and newborns. Clinical judgment should be used to determine when MX40 should be administered to a particular pediatric patient, as ECG performance cannot be attributed to exact body weight or age. This device can only be used on one patient at a time. Parts/accessories that come into contact with the patient's skin meet the biocompatibility requirements according to EN ISO 10993-1. This device is not intended for direct contact with the patient's skin. The included bag is suitable for storing equipment.
