Exchanging the Transducer Cable

Important when installing the screw cap! Do not remove the screw caps from the frame to which they are attached. Let them sit so you can put the screw caps on properly. When you push them into place, they detach from the frame.

Replacing the signal converter cable:

1 Drill out the screw cap with a small slotted screwdriver. important! Do not attempt to remove the threaded side cap without drilling into it as this may damage the top cover of the transducer.

1 Gently move the screwdriver back and forth until the screw cap comes loose. Repeat the process to remove all three screw caps.

2 Remove the three screws and remove the top cover of the transducer.

Disconnect the small cable, remove the old cable and plug in the new cable (reverse process of removal).

3 Remove the top cover jack and replace it with the new jack that came with the cable. Be careful not to move the strain gauge when handling the Toco/Toco+ sensor. Install the new gasket on the top cover, make sure the gasket is in place, replace the top cover and secure with the three screws.

4 Keeping the screw cap on the frame, carefully align the screw cover with the screw hole in the top cover. Then partially press both lids at the same time, and then the third (they will detach from the frame if you press on them). Then make sure that all three caps are fully inserted into the holes.
