Display Assembly (LCD Display)
The following sections describe how to remove and replace the display unit for devices with LCD displays.
Preparation
1. Save the configuration.
If possible, save the client configuration to the data card. (or type the configuration) so that the configuration can be restored after the repair is complete.
2. Open the housing firmly.
3. Remove and remove the Control PCA.
4. Remove the armor.
5. Disconnect and delete Keyscan PCA.
6. Remove the front cover.
Removal
1. Remove the monitor.
a.) Remove the two T10 screws from the corners of the monitor.
b) Lift the display from the frame and place it face down on an antistatic surface.
2. Remove the metal shield and set aside.
a) Disconnect both wires.
b) Remove the flex circuit from the monitor and PCA.
c) Unfasten all 8 straps and place them aside. He will replace them later.
a) Remove the four T10 screws.
b) remove the soil

Replacement
1. Replace the metal shield.
a) Place the metal shield on the back of the monitor. Align the screen with the large opening above the flex circuit.
b) Secure the ground wire to the metal shield with T10 screws.
c) Secure the screen to the back of the monitor with the remaining three T10 screws.
2. Connect the cable.
a) Connect two 2 wire harnesses to the inverter on the metal shield.
b) Connect the 8 harnesses to the inverter board on the metal shield.
c) A new flex circuit may be installed on the secondary monitor. if so Connect the free end of the flex circuit to the PCA and discard the old flex circuit. If the new flex circuit is not pre-connected to the monitor Go ahead and reconnect the current flex circuit to the monitor and PCA.
Tip: Make sure the flex circuit is left and right at the center of the connector. and is at a 90 degree angle to the connector.
3. Replace the display on the front panel.
Place the monitor on the front panel and attach the 2 screws.
after repair
After the repair is complete Follow these steps.
1. Put the front cover on the chassis.
2. Replace and reconnect Keyscan PCA.
3. Change the screen
4. Switch and reconnect the control PCA.
5. Assemble the housing
6. Restore the client configuration.
Enter configuration mode and reload the client configuration from the data card. or reconfigure the device as needed.
