Keyscan PCA

There are two versions of Keyscan PCA depending on the display type of the device. Follow the instructions on your device.

Preparation

1. Save the configuration.

If possible, the recipient's configuration can be saved to a data card (or printed) so that the configuration can be restored after repair.

2. Make a note of the device serial number.

You must use this number when performing removal and replacement procedures.

3. Open the housing properly.

Removal

1. Disconnect the Keyscan PCA (12 cables).

Tip: Position the handle of the M4735A so that it locks into place at the edge of the table top.

C. Disconnect the flexible circuits from the two opposite keyboards (if any). Soak the white connector on the PCA by pulling on the top of the connector, and then remove the flexible circuit.

D. Disconnect the flexible circuits from the two primary keyboards.

E. Isolate IrDA and isolate PCA. Press the socket lock to open it.

F. Remove the power switch. Press the socket lock to open it.

G. Disconnect the display board connector by pulling it up with the needle clamp.

TIP: Do not disconnect the spool cables when disconnecting the Keyscan PCA to access the front panel or monitor. After removing the two screws (step 2 below), turn the PCA over and place the parts face down. printer barrel.

H. Disconnect the wires from both steels. Remove the T10 screws that secure the threaded interior under the blade holder. Now connect the wires to the PCA cover.

Note: This T10 screw has a different length than the T10 screw used in the device. Manually screw the screw back into the threaded inner part and leave it there until it is used.

I. Remove the 8 seat belts by gently pressing the latch and pulling it out.

Tip: It may be easier to remove the power switch to open the display circuit.

J. Lift the latch to release and remove the flexible circuit of the monitor.

2. Remove and disconnect the Keyscan PCA.

A. Remove the two T10 screws closest to the edge of the PCA. the PCA is attached to the threaded bracket. Be sure to remove only the screws, not the fasteners.

B. Remove the Keyscan PCA from the case and place its parts facing the antistatic surface.

3. Disconnect the three separate wires.

A. Using the pins, pull up to cut the two threads of the cushion. The other end is separate from the rowing bag.

Tip: Rotating the blade connectors will help, but be careful not to bend the PCA connectors.

B. Pull the needle up and pull the remaining cord. The other end is not connected to the Power PCA.

4. Unplug and remove the IrDA to disconnect the PCA. (Optional)

If the Keyscan PCA is replaced, also remove the IrDA PCA. A spare IrDA PCA is supplied with the spare Keyscan PCA. Skip this step if you want to remove Keyscan PCA to access the other subcomponents.

A. Remove the two T10 screws securing the IrDA PCA in the chassis.

B. Remove the PCA.

C. Disconnect the PCA cable. Press the connector latch to release it. The other end is disconnected from the Keyscan PCA
