Monitor Hardware Overview
Power Supply
The power supply is a wide-range input switching unit, which outputs 24V. It is located in the bottom shell assembly.
Connector Block
Any compatible fetal sensor, patient module, or remote event marker can be connected to the monitor in any order through the socket on the connector block. The connector block is located on the bus main control board and can be replaced.
Bus Master Board
The signal from the sensor or sensor is transmitted from the sensor socket on the connector carrier board (M2703-66421) to the bus master board (M2703-66420).
The bus main control board is responsible for sensor detection, communicates with the connected sensors through the CAN bus, and transmits parameter data to the main CPU board for further processing and display through the serial link.
Main CPU Board
The CPU main board controls the display man-machine interface and is responsible for the final data processing of the main bus control board. Send this data to a TFT screen and thermal printer to record trajectories and other patient data. Also check out the optional LAN/RS232 and PS/2 interface cards.
Fetal Recorder (Thermal Printer Unit)
The fetal recorder is located in the top cover assembly. The recorder contains the following main parts:
• Recorder adapter board
• Thermal print head (TLPhilipilip)
• Paper sensor
• Stepper motor
LCD Display and Touchscreen
The LCD display unit consists of a 4-wire resistive touch screen, a 6.5-inch TFT panel, and a backlight inverter. All this is connected to the video adapter card. (M2703-66440) and installed in the display box.
The card is connected to the recorder adapter card. (M2703-66430) via 50-pin flat cable. A green LED is mounted on the display adapter board.
NIBP assembly
The optional non-invasive blood pressure kit (M2703-64602) is located at the front left corner of the bottom housing assembly. It is connected to the main CPU board via a serial link.
SpO2 components
The optional SpO2 component (M2703-64603) is Philipilipysically located on the bus main control board, but sends data directly to the main CPU board via a serial link.
Input/output interface board
Two optional interface boards available:
• LAN/RS232 interface board, used to connect to the PC running the support tool and
Monitoring and documentation systems such as OB TraceVue.
• PS/2 interface board, used to connect an external keyboard or mouse.
The interface board is inserted into the two interface slots at the bottom of the device and is controlled by the main CPU board.
