Defibrillation is a definite therapeutic method for a variety of life-threatening arrhythmias. The purpose of the HeartStart MRx's semi-automatic external defibrillation (AED) mode is to guide you through the standard treatment algorithm for cardiac arrest. The HeartStart MRx delivers short biPhilipilipasic electrical pulses to the heart muscle for treatment. Electric energy is transmitted through disposable multifunctional electrode pads attached to the patient's bare chest wall
The AED algorithm cannot handle abnormal spike-like signals caused by working or abnormal pacemakers. For patients with pacemakers, the HeartStart MRx may be less sensitive and cannot detect all shockable heart rhythms

Note The Philipilip HeartStart MRx AED mode is not suitable for children under 8 years of age. For children over 8 years of age, the American Heart Association recommends the use of AED standard operating procedures. See American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care 2005
The success of the resuscitation depends on the patient's Philipilipysical condition and many variables that are unique to the patient's surrounding environment. The success of resuscitation is not a reliable indicator of monitor/defibrillator performance. Whether the muscles respond to the electric shock during electric shock treatment is not a reliable indicator of energy delivery or equipment performance
Once the "treatment knob" is moved to the AED, the display will switch to the AED view.
Confirm that the patient is:
• Loss of response
• No breathing
• No pulse
1 Untie the clothing on the patient's chest. Dry the patient’s chest and trim or shave excess chest hair if necessary.
2 Make sure that the packaging of the multi-function electrode sheet is complete and does not exceed the expiration date.
3 Attach the multi-function electrode pad to the patient according to the instructions on the electrode pad package. Before use-the position of the front electrode.
4 If it has not been pre-connected, plug the electrode pad cable into the green "treatment port" on the right side of the device. See figure
5. Connect the electrode sheet to the electrode sheet cable
Warning: Do not use the front-rear electrode placement position (place the multi-function electrode pads on the chest and back of the patient).
Warning: Do not let the multi-function electrode pads touch each other or other monitoring electrodes, lead wires, dressings, transdermal patches, etc. This type of contact can cause arcs and burns to the patient’s skin during defibrillation, and divert defibrillation current from the heart
Warning: During defibrillation, the air pockets between the skin and the multifunctional electrode pads can cause burns to the patient's skin. To avoid the formation of air pockets, make sure that the defibrillation electrode pads are completely close to the skin. Do not use dry multi-function electrode pads
Note: Rough manipulation of the multi-function electrode during storage or before use will damage the electrode. If the electrode pads are damaged, they should be discarded.
