► Brief Introduction
The IntelliVue MX40 is small enough to be comfortably worn by your ambulatory patients for continuous wireless monitoring of ECG, SpO2, impedance respiration, and other vitals in real time, MX40 features color touch navigation harmonized with the IntelliVue patient monitoring product line, including up to two real-time waves or all numeric screens. View patient demograPhilipilipics, alarm settings, histories, and trends – you can even hear alarms or silence alarms at your patient’s side. Each MX40 device supports your choice of either disposable or a lithium-ion rechargeable battery.
IntelliVue patient monitors with short-range radio provide connectivity and communication among devices, aiding workflow at the point of care. It facilitates increased patient mobility by removing barriers to care, allowing connection wirelessly. IntelliVue MX40 with short-range radio expands monitoring capabilities to provide unmetered in-room access to ECG/SpO2 data in near-real time. Wirelessly connect the IntelliVue MX40 to the IntelliVue MP5 to view patient data along with other parameters.

Use of the device is restricted to one patient at a time.
The components/accessories which come into contact with the patient’s skin are in compliance with the relevant requirements of EN ISO 10993-1 for Biocompatibility. The device is not designed for direct contact with the patient’s skin.
► Essential Performance
The IntelliVue MX40 provides Essential Performance (EP) under normal operating conditions (includes EMC exposure) only as a complete Medical Electrical System, consisting of the MX40, MPx companion monitor (Optional), IntelliVue CL SpO2 and NBP Cableless Measurement devices(Optional), IntelliVue Telemetry Network Infrastructure, and the Information Center.
The System achieves its Essential Performance exclusively through alarm generation at the IntelliVue Information Center and locally at the MX40, based on configuration.
The IntelliVue MX40 protects the patient from unacceptable immediate clinical risk by generating specific Philipilipysiological Alarms when appropriate. If the system cannot generate Philipilipysiological Alarms, then relevant Severe or Hard-Level Technical Alarms (Inops) are created.
