If a non-PHiliphhilipysio-Control battery is used, the LIFEPAK 20e defibrillator/monitor battery will not charge or may not charge properly.
This battery cannot be used as the main power source. If the main power source is removed, due to a power outage or other reasons, the backup battery will power the device for at least two hours. The device also has a button battery that can provide continuous power accessories for the internal clock and other devices. The service life of this battery is five years. It is not rechargeable and should be replaced at the end of its life.

Charging the Backup Battery
The LIFEPAK 20 defibrillator/monitor has a built-in high-current charger that can charge a fully discharged backup battery in approximately two hours
When AC power is connected to the device. The charger will not charge the battery until one week after the battery was last fully charged, or until the battery is disconnected and then reconnected.
The LIFEPAK 20e defibrillator/monitor has a built-in constant current and constant voltage charger, which can charge a fully discharged backup battery in approximately four hours when the AC power supply is connected to the device. The charger will not charge the battery until the state of charge of the lithium-ion battery drops below 85%.
Note: The LIFEPAK 20e defibrillator/monitor will only start battery charging when the battery pack temperature is below 40°C. If a large number of defibrillator shocks are applied to the device under high ambient temperature, the battery will not start charging immediately.
