Win-win together!
On March 7, Royal Philips announced a partnership with the Walt Disney Company, according to the device pool.Under the agreement, Disney developed six videos that children can choose to watch while undergoing an MRI exam.Disney says the video stories keep children happy but not so excited that they move around or laugh during the inspection. The most common reason for fear of MRI is claustrophobia.Discomforts from being in an enclosed space for more than 45 minutes are common, but some patients have reached the point where they can't stand it.
A paper in the journal Magnetic Resonance Imaging shows that, worldwide, about two million MRI exams a year have to be stopped because of claustrophobia. The temporary cancellation of MRIs adds additional costs to hospitals, and a growing number of providers want to minimize the impact of claustrophobia on patients. Some manufacturers have responded with audio systems, visual AIDS, themed environments, and infotainment components, while others have focused on the design of the MRI system itself.
It is understood that Philips includes diagnostic treatment, connected care, personal health and other businesses.

As can be seen from the above cooperation cases between Philips and Disney, the main role of medical devices is the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, but the impact on users' emotions and emotions can not be ignored. From this point of view, the humanized design of medical devices is very important.
